Cases of Coronavirus in Florida are on the rise.
The Novel Coronavirus, or COVID-19, has reached Florida and Miami-Dade. We’ve put together a few things to reassure you and help your business maintain productivity during this pandemic.
A few things to remember as the situation unfolds:
- St. Aubin Technologies will remain open as long as Miami-Dade County services are active (not including police and fire).
- St. Aubin Tech has been in business in South Florida for over 20 years. Think Y2K, hurricanes, market failures, etc. We know a thing or two because we’ve seen a thing or two. 😉
- St. Aubin support specialists are geographically spread out and not all located in the same office, reducing our exposure to each other.
- No matter how bad, we’ll be here when its over.
Have plan to allow employees with possible symptoms to ‘self-quarantine’. Utilizing remote access tools from St. Aubin Technologies would allow quarantined-but-healthy employees to continue to work from home.
If you’re one of our clients with a cloud phone system solution, like IPfone, you can forward a users extension to their cell phone or home phone number. You can even specify whether they get all calls, or just the direct ones. Users unable to answer the phone will still get the benefits of voicemail to email and away messages!
Office’s using Microsoft Office 365 are able to set Out-of-Office messages for users who are not able to regularly check and answer emails. This is a friendly way to let other corresponders know about potential response delays.
A llowing users to work remotely reduces the risk of any viral transmission. It also reduces the need to stock the office with extra disinfecting wipes and hand sanitizers, as those are in short supply now.
Should the office need to be shut down, be sure to have us check your backups. If things were to get really bad, burglars would take advantage of the increase in time offices are empty and may target your equipment. Backups can help prevent data loss in any theft or loss event that may happen while the office is empty.
