Office 2007 is retiring this year!

The retirement for Office 2007 applications and servers is quickly approaching. Consistent with the Microsoft Support Policy, announced in 2002, Microsoft will retire Office 2007 and its related products after 10 years of operation this October.

Applications and servers scheduled to retire include:

  • Febraury 28, 2017: Office ProPlus 2013
  • April 11, 2017: Exchange Server 2007
  • October 10, 2017: Office 2007, Project Server 2007, SharePoint Server 2007, Groove Server 2007
  • October 31, 2017: Outlook 2007 connectivity to Office 365
  • January 9, 2018: Communications Server 2007
  • Note: please also be aware that versions released before Outlook 2010 SP2 will stop working with the Office 365 Exchange Online service starting October 31, 2017. Please take this into consideration in your choice of Software Solutions.

The use of non-updated software, which is no longer supported, can have significant consequences for your organization and might affect, directly or indirectly, the applicative compatibility of your environment and the global security level of your information system.

Considering new versions now will enable you to evaluate the benefit of the latest innovations for collaboration and content creation for your organization before the end of support.
